Pine Script to MT4/MT5 EA Conversion Planner
This is a lightweight conversion architect. It analyzes your TradingView script, detects Pine features that do not map cleanly to MQL, recommends MT4, MT5, webhook bridge or full native rewrite architecture, estimates engineering effort, and generates a developer-ready conversion brief.

Why Pine Script Cannot Be Converted Line by Line to MQL
Pine Script is a time-series language running inside TradingView's chart engine. MQL4 and MQL5 are event-driven languages running inside MetaTrader, where code reacts to ticks, chart events, timer events, order events and broker execution rules. A professional conversion is a behavioral translation: signal engine, risk engine, order manager, state manager, logging and tester support.
Pine idea: close[1] ta.ema(close, 20) strategy.entry() request.security()
MQL architecture: price-series access indicator handles / buffers OnTick / OnCalculate lifecycle order and position API broker constraints explicit state management

FAQ
Can Pine Script be converted to MT4?
Yes, if the logic is known. Indicators can become MQL4 indicators and strategies can become MT4 Expert Advisors. Protected or invite-only scripts require functional recreation, not source extraction.
Can Pine Script be converted to MT5?
Yes. MT5 is usually recommended for new conversions because it has stronger tester support, indicator handles, CopyBuffer, multi-symbol capability and clearer trade/position architecture.
Can a TradingView strategy become an Expert Advisor?
Yes. The strategy rules must be rebuilt as an MQL signal engine plus order manager, risk manager, trade manager and validation logic. Exact profit matching is rarely guaranteed because broker data and execution differ.
Can TradingView alerts automatically open MT5 trades?
Yes, through a webhook bridge, local bridge or API relay. This is not the same as converting Pine to a native EA because TradingView remains the signal engine while MetaTrader becomes the execution layer.
Can repainting Pine indicators be converted to MT5?
They can be recreated, but historical visual similarity does not guarantee live similarity. The converted indicator or EA must define whether it uses forming candles, confirmed pivots or closed-bar non-repainting logic.
Why does my MT5 EA backtest differ from TradingView?
TradingView and MetaTrader use different data, spread, commission, intrabar assumptions, order models, sessions and broker rules. A professional conversion targets signal parity first, then realistic execution.
Can request.security be converted to MQL5?
Usually yes. MQL5 can use indicator handles, CopyBuffer and CopyRates for other symbols and timeframes, but candle synchronization and lookahead behavior must be specified carefully.
What is the difference between a webhook bridge and native MT5 EA?
A native MT5 EA runs all logic inside MetaTrader. A webhook bridge keeps Pine logic on TradingView and sends alerts to MetaTrader for execution, requiring server, authentication, deduplication and latency controls.
Get This Conversion Built Properly
Send the generated brief with your Pine source or TradingView screenshots. AlgoSpecial can quote the exact MT4/MT5 indicator, Expert Advisor, webhook bridge, scanner, dashboard or full native rewrite.
Educational planning tool only. It cannot extract protected TradingView source code and does not promise automatic one-click conversion. Source code shared with AlgoSpecial for quotes is treated as confidential.
Turn the calculation into an EA
If the tool exposed a profitable or risky condition, convert it into a coded rule with testing and guardrails.
