How the Patience Score Is Calculated

The calculator uses a weighted 100-point behavioral model. Every point has a reason — nothing is arbitrary. Your trading style slightly adjusts the setup/confirmation weights.

Hard stops override the score. No stop loss, oversized position, an emotionally moved stop, or a revenge state (loss + recovery intent + bigger size) forces a STOP verdict regardless of the score. A score of 82 with an unacceptable risk condition still means do not trade.

Patience is not hesitation. If your setup, confirmation and risk are complete and you still will not click, the calculator flags hesitation instead of rewarding inaction. Learn the difference.

What is a forex patience calculator?

A behavioral tool that scores your current trading discipline — setup quality, confirmation, plan adherence, FOMO, overtrading, revenge risk and emotional state — and tells you whether your next decision should be READY, WAIT or STOP. It does not predict market direction.

How is the patience score calculated?

Eleven weighted dimensions add up to 100: setup 20%, confirmation 15%, plan 14%, emotional control 14%, FOMO 10%, overtrading 10%, revenge 5%, risk 5%, missed-trade psychology 3%, screen time 2%, exit patience 2%. Hard-stop violations override the score.

What do READY, WAIT and STOP mean?

READY means your predefined conditions are satisfied and the entry is process-driven. WAIT means your process is incomplete — missing confirmation, elevated FOMO, or a moved entry. STOP means a behavioral or risk condition is unsafe: no stop loss, oversized risk, or revenge-trading state.

Can this calculator tell me if a trade will win?

No. It measures whether your behavior follows your own trading process. A high score can still produce a losing trade, and a rule-breaking trade can win. The calculator judges the process, never the outcome.

How do I improve my patience score?

Work on the weakest dimension shown in your profile. Usually the fastest wins are: a written setup definition, price alerts instead of chart watching, a daily trade-count limit, and a 30-minute cooldown after losses. Track your daily scores to see the trend.
