25 Volume Profile + Footprint Confluence Setups for MT5

The profile says where the market is doing business. The footprint says who is winning right now. Trade them together and you have a complete order-flow decision system. These 25 setups are the playbook — each one names the exact conditions on both indicators, the entry, and the invalidation.

The Setup: Two Indicators, Two Jobs

  • VFPGEOMETRY on H4 (macro): OVL (balance), Balance Tilt (dominant side), POC / VAH / VAL, profile bells. It answers: balanced or directional, and where is value?
  • VolumeFootPrint2 on M15/H1 (execution): row delta, bar delta, session CVD, imbalances, stacked zones, patterns, and the BUY/SELL/WAIT signal with SL/TP.
  • Defaults work; rule of thumb: OVL ≥ 0.75 = balanced day, otherwise directional.

The Daily Workflow

  1. H4 first: read OVL + tilt + position vs POC/VAH/VAL. Write down your bias: balanced-fade or directional-follow.
  2. M15/H1 next: wait for a footprint trigger that agrees with the bias (setups 1–21).
  3. Veto check: DRIFT? hard-stop WAIT? [EST 90%+]? Apply setups 22–24.
  4. Execute with the signal-line SL/TP, or the setup's structural levels. Never without both.
  5. Nothing qualifies? It is setup 25. Log it and walk away.

FAQ

Can I trade with just one of the two indicators?

Yes — the footprint alone gives entries, the profile alone gives bias. But the setups above fire with far better quality when both agree.

Which timeframes should the two indicators run on?

Profile on H4 (macro), footprint on M15 or H1 (entries). Same symbol, two charts, or one chart with the profile for bias only.

How many of these setups should I trade?

Pick 3–5 that fit your session and style, master them, ignore the rest. A small playbook traded well beats all 25 traded loosely.

Do these work on gold?

Yes — raise Ticks Per Row to 10+ on XAUUSD and keep the same logic. Gold's tape is often cleaner for footprint work than some forex pairs.

Is this a complete trading system?

It is a complete order-flow decision layer. Add position sizing and a daily loss limit from our risk guidelines and it becomes a full system.
