Major, minor and exotic FX research

Forex Analysis Prompts for Every Currency Pair

A currency-pair prompt must analyze two economies, two central banks and one broker-specific instrument. Pair selection alone is not enough: quote conventions, session liquidity and event timing materially change the research task.

28+ common FX pairs plus custom broker symbols

Pair-specific context the LLM needs

The same technical shape can have different risks on EURUSD, GBPJPY or an exotic cross.

Base versus quote

Define which currency is strengthening in each direction and identify the relevant policy, inflation, labor and growth drivers for both sides.

Broker specification

Confirm digits, point size, pip convention, contract size, tick value, minimum stop level and any symbol suffix before numerical risk work.

Session liquidity

Map the pair to its active regional sessions and state the timezone. Avoid assuming London or New York is optimal for every cross.

Event asymmetry

A pair may face high-impact events from either currency. Research prompts need a dated calendar and should not predict the data surprise.

Use these pair families to choose data and risk controls, not to assign automatic direction.

Technical and macro evidence should meet at the timestamp

A useful FX prompt dates both chart and fundamental inputs. A current chart combined with an old central-bank statement creates false precision. The research process should compare official releases, policy expectations and price structure as of the same decision point.

Correlations with yields, equity indices or commodities can help explain a regime, but they must be measured over a stated window. They are not permanent causal laws.

  • Cite central-bank and statistical-agency sources.
  • State publication date and event date separately.
  • Measure rolling relationships when data is available.
  • Keep market expectations separate from released facts.

Forex volume and position sizing need broker data

Retail MT4 and MT5 volume commonly represents ticks observed by one broker. It can describe activity within that feed but cannot prove total institutional buying or selling.

Position sizing also depends on account currency and live symbol properties. A prompt should request contract size, tick size and tick value rather than rely on a memorized pip-value table.

  • Name the broker or liquidity feed.
  • Check whether the account currency matches either side of the pair.
  • Include spread, commission and financing.
  • Verify calculations with the platform before execution.

Frequently asked questions

Can the generator handle a pair not listed?

Yes. Type any broker symbol in the instrument field. Include the broker or venue because suffixes and contract details vary.

What is the best prompt for multi-timeframe forex analysis?

Ask the model to analyze each timeframe independently, then reconcile structure. Define the role of each view, such as D1 regime, H4 structure, H1 setup and M15 execution.

Should a forex prompt request a probability?

Not unless the probability is calibrated from a documented historical sample. An unexplained model confidence score is wording, not statistical evidence.
