MQL5 Code Generator Guide

A good generator should give you readable source, not a black box. Here is what the MT5 builder produces and how to use it.

What the generated .mq5 contains

  • Standard MQL5 structure and CTrade execution.
  • Indicator handles for your selected indicators.
  • Entry conditions built from your AND/OR logic.
  • Stop loss, take profit, trailing and break-even blocks.
  • Fixed or risk-percent lot sizing.
  • Spread, session and new-bar filters.

Read the code before you run it

Check the symbol, timeframe, indicator parameters, risk settings and order comments. Compile the file in MetaEditor and fix any path or broker-specific issues. The generated code is a starting point for testing, not a guarantee of profit.

Generator limits

A generator can automate supported rule templates. It cannot design a market edge, validate a strategy for you, or replace out-of-sample testing. For custom order state machines or portfolio logic, use a developer.
